5A molecular sieve is an artificially synthesized silicon-aluminum-based crystal with uniform microporous structure. Its pore size is 5 angstroms (Å), which is equivalent to 0.5 nanometers. This precise pore size enables it to selectively adsorb molecules in fluids like a sieve based on the molecular dynamic diameter, thereby achieving the purposes of separation, purification and drying.
Applications:
- Petrochemicals: Core applications include "paraffin dewaxing" (separating linear alkanes to produce high-quality diesel and lubricants) and "petroleum desulfurization" (removing harmful impurities such as hydrogen sulfide).
- Gas Separation: Used in PSA oxygen/nitrogen generation and PSA hydrogen production, enabling gas separation and purification by adsorbing specific impurity gases.
- Deep Drying: Provides thorough drying of industrial gases, achieving dew points below -70°C with exceptional performance.
- Environmental Recovery: Adsorbs and recovers volatile organic compounds (VOCs), such as toluene and xylene solvents from paint and printing exhaust gases.
- Refrigeration Systems: Functions as a desiccant in air conditioners, refrigerators, and other cooling systems to adsorb moisture, preventing ice blockages and corrosion.
- Other Fields: Widely used for drying in the pharmaceutical and electronics industries, as well as in insulating glass units for buildings to prevent fogging.
