  • Carbon molecular sieves are a type of non-polar carbon-based adsorption material with a well-developed microporous structure and a high specific surface area. Their core characteristic is the ability to achieve efficient dynamic separation based on the minute differences in the dynamic diameters of gas molecules. This is different from zeolite molecular sieves, which mainly separate based on the strength of molecular polarity.

    Carbon molecular sieves are mainly applied in pressure swing adsorption (PSA) technology for gas separation and production:
    1. PSA nitrogen production: Using the preferential adsorption of oxygen to produce high-purity nitrogen, which is widely used in industries such as chemical engineering, food and medicine (preservation and protection), metal processing (protective atmosphere), electronics, and fire protection.
    2. PSA oxygen production: Using the preferential adsorption of nitrogen to produce oxygen-enriched air, mainly used in healthcare, aquaculture, environmental protection, metallurgy (oxygen-enriched combustion), and chemical processes.
    3. Other gas separation: Including biogas purification (producing bio-gas), hydrogen purification, and carbon monoxide purification.
    4. Other applications: Can be used as catalyst carriers and special adsorbents.
